Tile laying places spatial components under matching, adjacency, alignment, continuity, or nonoverlap rules. Grid coverage fits shapes into a bounded area while managing gaps and edges. Network building places links among nodes to form routes, branches, hubs, or loops.

Scrabble makes every new tile placement connect with a persistent shared structure. Patchwork packs irregular pieces into a bounded grid. Same Circles builds a word network in which ring letters, user-made letters, and spaces can become shared junctions.

Decide whether adjacency, coverage, or connection is the central relationship. Every placed part should change later possibilities in a way the player can see.
